Older man holding his sore neck and checking his phone beside cars after a collision

Car Accident Chiropractor in Wasilla, AK

A car accident does damage that an emergency room visit is not designed to find. The ER rules out anything life threatening. It does not assess the soft tissue, joint, and nerve injuries that cause pain for months afterward.

That assessment is what we do. If you were in a collision anywhere in the Mat-Su Valley, come in and find out what is actually injured.

Cleared at the ER and Still in Pain?

This is the most common call we get. The hospital took a scan, found no fracture, and sent you home with instructions to rest and take something for the pain. A week later it is worse.

Nothing went wrong at the hospital. They were looking for different things. Whiplash, disc irritation, joint restriction, and nerve compression do not show up on the scans the ER runs, and they do not resolve on their own just because nothing is broken.

How We Examine Accident Injuries

Gonstead chiropractic is the method used here. It is a specific technique: the point of it is to find the exact segment causing the problem rather than treating the whole spine and hoping.

That means the examination is detailed. Visual assessment, motion and static palpation, instrumentation, and full spine digital X-ray taken in our own office. We identify the level that is injured, and treatment is directed there.

For accident patients the imaging matters twice over. It guides the treatment, and it is objective evidence of what the crash did.

Treatment

What you receive depends on what the examination finds. The usual components are:

  • Specific chiropractic adjustments to restore movement at the injured segments
  • Soft tissue work and massage therapy for the surrounding muscles
  • Electrical stimulation and other in office modalities for pain and muscle spasm
  • Neuromuscular reeducation to retrain movement patterns that changed after the injury
  • Specific exercises you do at home between visits

Treatment frequency is highest early and tapers as you improve. We review your progress regularly and adjust the plan rather than running the same schedule regardless of results.

Timeline

Every injury is different and we will not promise you a date. What we can tell you is the usual shape of it:

  • First 2 weeks: Settling the pain and inflammation down. Visits are most frequent here.
  • Weeks 3 to 8: Restoring movement and strength. Visits reduce. Home exercises become a bigger part of it.
  • Beyond: Maintaining what you have gained, and dealing with anything that still flares. Some patients finish earlier. Some need longer.

If you are not responding the way we expect, we say so and refer you on. Some injuries need an orthopedist, a neurologist, or advanced imaging, and the right move is to send you there rather than keep treating.

Records for Your Claim

Accident care has a paperwork side. Your file here includes the mechanism of injury, examination findings, imaging, diagnosis, treatment given, and your progress over time. Attorneys and adjusters ask for exactly that.

We keep it current as you go, not reconstructed at the end.
