Whiplash and Neck Pain
The most common car accident injury and the one most often dismissed early. The neck is forced through a range it cannot brace for, and the joints and ligaments take the strain.
Symptoms often peak two to three days after the crash. Stiffness, reduced rotation, pain across the top of the shoulders, and headache are typical. Treatment restores motion at the specific injured segments and settles the muscle guarding around them.

Post Accident Headaches
Headaches that begin after a collision usually come from the upper neck rather than the head itself.
They tend to start at the base of the skull and wrap forward, and they get worse through the day or after screen work. Treating the upper cervical segments and the surrounding soft tissue is usually what resolves them.

Low Back Pain and Sciatica
The lumbar spine and pelvis take significant force in a collision, particularly a side impact or a rear ender where you were braced.
Pain can stay local or travel down the leg. Leg pain, numbness, or weakness means a nerve is involved and the examination needs to establish where. Imaging here is not optional.

Mid Back and Rib Pain
Seatbelt injuries are underestimated. The belt saves you and bruises you at the same time.
Sharp pain on a deep breath, pain between the shoulder blades, and tenderness along the ribs are common. Treatment addresses the rib joints and the thoracic spine.

Shoulder and Arm Injuries
Bracing against the steering wheel at impact drives force through the shoulder.
Pain lifting the arm, weakness, and pain at night lying on that side. We assess whether the problem is the shoulder itself, the neck referring into it, or both.

Numbness and Tingling
Nerve symptoms after a crash mean something is compressing or irritating a nerve root.
This is not something to wait out. Examination establishes the level involved, and if the findings call for advanced imaging or a specialist, we refer.
